The 5th annual South Carolina Music Awards were held this past weekend in Greenville, SC. I’m still waiting on official attendance numbers, however 2000 folks showed up for 2011’s events and 795 people viewed this years’ live stream hosted by yours truly, so I expect the numbers for people who were in the building this year to surpass last years’ total.

Below is the full list of winners for 2012. The show was awesome with several great performances and moments. My favorite artist sets were Nikkiya, Dirty Dave and rock/reggae/dub band Sundried Vibes. Blind Fury killed the cypher.

One of the best things is there was NO foolishness and the show went off without a hitch. Congratulations to Shera Bass and Marcus Housey for a successful event. It was a great weekend in Greenville and I’m looking forward to next year. Stay tuned for details on 2013’s events!
