CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is one of the largest and most anticipated tech events in the world. Every year some of the coolest electronics ever are introduced to the public. 2012’s event officially kicks off today in Las Vegas and runs until January 13.

Here we get a sneak peek at some of the items that will be presented. In the video above check out gadgets such as the Ion Audio Guitar Apprentice, which is an iPad that snaps into a guitar and teaches you how to play. We also see HZO, a product built into your smartphone that makes them waterproof; the Wii U, which is the next generation Wii that allows for more interaction via a tablet.

Another super cool product we get to check is OLED TVs, which are thinner than the width of a pen (4mm) and go light or dark on a pixel by pixel basis. This means the television picture and colors are super crisp. This new product is described as "obscenely expensive".
