Dissolved relationship with Jay-Z or not, Dame Dash remains one of my favorite hip hop businessmen. Dude help build the Rock-A-Fella brand into a multi-faceted entity, including the ROC Films and Armadale Vodka.
Anyway recently Dame Dash opened a vintage thrift shop in NYC that caters to both men and women. The store carries “archived, hand-picked, premium vintage clothing”. I’m curious as to how this new business venture pans out. With the economy continuing to go ham and people still wanting to look like their pockets are on swole, I’ll be watching for news of the store to see how it works out.
Check out Local 172’s website. And in case you missed it, this video from last year of Dame Dash giving Curren$y and Asher Roth business advice for independent artists is still a gem.
