Gospel rapper J. Prophet and Yale Divinity School student last seen thuggin’ in the name of Jesus while shooting a “Roger That” remix video in a church and dropping an actual Jesus centered Christmas track, is gearing up to drop a debut mixtape soon, V2.
I’ve never been a fan of gospel rappers, not because of their content but because I’ve never ran across one who could really go in. Just because someone raps in the name of Jesus and puts him in their rhymes doesn’t mean they’re a good rapper.
Most of the material I’ve heard from J. Prophet has been pretty decent so let’s see what that new mixtape is going to be like.
