I’ve been doing the women of hip hop radio special for the past couple of years. 3 hours of the most lyrical femcees you never get to hear on commerical radio.

Let’s be real. There are no mainstream femcees truly crushing the game. But there are TONS of femcees on the undergound and indie scene getting it in.

In addition there are many women behind the scenes running the game, from business owners, journalists, radio, PR, models, etc don’t get it twisted: without the ladies hip hop would not be what it is today.

So in 2009 we’re going to recognize those contributions.
