Right at the bottom of 2013 Pineville, SC’s Benny Starr released a new EP, The SOULoist. It was his first release since the 2012’s Guns-N-Roses mixtape (still jammin’).

On The SOULoist, the Upstate’s Kurious George sets his DJ hat to the side and comes through on the production tip, along with Danny Dee (OXYxMORON), Rill Williams and The Boyscout. For “Reign”, Kurious George chops up a Temptations classic, which makes a great pairing for Benny Starr’s smooth lyrics.
