Beyond the fact that this beat is ill, it’s good to hear more Carolina artists creatively weaving societal issues into their lyrics. I don’t think some of y’all realize yet that only making songs about bottles with sparklers, blowing money fast, and foreign cars is getting old. Besides, seeing money being spent in the club does not impress me. Go to the dentist and pay for a root canal out of pocket without asking for a payment plan — that’ll knock my socks off.

Fayetteville, NC native Rain will be releasing a new album soon, Live Fast Die Young, and this track will be featured on it. It’s pretty short though, sounds more like an interlude or freestyle.
