I am always down for a great hip hop history lesson. LRG has teamed up with the legendary world famous Beat Junkies to help commemorate their 20 years of impacting the music industry. Some of these DJs I’ve heard of (i.e., Rhettmatic, Babu), however many of them I hadn’t.

The World Famous Beat Junkies included J-Rocc, DJ Babu, D-Styles, DJ Rhettmatic, DJ What?!, Mr. Choc, Icy Ice and several more. The documentary includes commentary with the Beat Junkies as well as Jazzy Jeff and Peanut Butter Wolf giving us the background on how the crew started, their experiences + influences, battling OG’s, various DJ’ing styles and much more.

Symphony, who was the lone female in the crew, also talks about what is was like being a dope female DJ and affiliated with the best crew out. I recommend y’all take 14 minutes and check this out. Very ill!
