Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock or are just not tuned into the scene, you already know by now that 9/27/2011 will be an EPIC day for North Carolina hip hop.
Three mainstays from our state will be releasing major albums: Grammy award winning producer and DJ 9th Wonder will be releasing The Wonder Years, Roc Nation’s first signee J. Cole’s debut Cole World: The Sideline Story and the Foreign Exchange/Little Brother’s Phonte Coleman’s Charity Starts At Home is dropping as well. Pretty major.
In this week’s episode of WHERE IS HIP HOP?, Randy and I discuss 9/27/2011 and why this particular day will go down in hip hop history and it’s impact to the NC hip hop economy.
