If you’re unfamiliar with Sir Ratchness and Freshalina’s hilarious weekly pop culture recap ‘Neck of the Woods’ podcast here’s a chance to learn more plus do something healthy.
Back in June I shared with y’all some of the challenges and tips I use for motivation to keep running [READ: #RapOnTheRun: Motivation And Running]. Staying focused to train my mind and body to run 26 miles isn’t easy at times. One of the tips I talked about was how inspiration from some of the favorite social media accounts I follow helps me stay on task.
During this weekend’s 13 mile run, I listened to the latest episode of ‘Neck of the Woods’, where Sir Ratchetness announced the first Operation Get Chose challenge. The goal of Operation Get Chose is to “motivate everyone to find their true yanking potential and become the best they are suppose to be.” The first challenge is titled #OGCDetox.
Sir Ratchetness’ #OGCDetox challenge is super easy. All you have to do is work in at least one cup of detox water (just one y’all!) and post it on Instagram. It doesn’t even have to just be a detox water (like with lemons and berries). You can also post a smoothie or a shake. When you post it on the ‘Gram, use the hashtag #OGCDetox. Each picture counts as one entry. You can also refer folks to the Operation Get Chose account on Facebook or the ‘Gram and that will count as an entry too.
The winner of this Operation Get Chose challenge receives a Nutribullet! Y’all know those Nutribullets can be expensive, so the #OGCDetox is an easy way to do something healthy for yourself and a chance to win a cool prize at the same time.
I usually drink about a gallon of water each day but plain water can get boring. So far, I’m enjoying seeing what other folks are posting in the #OGCDetox hashtag for some new ideas.
Y’all can read the full Operation Get Chose #OGCDetox rules after the jump and also check the Operation Get Chose Instagram for some additional simple hydration ideas!
