Last week The State's Otis Taylor released his list of the top hip hop artists in South Carolina. As lists in hip hop tend to do, there was a lot of disagreements and discussions on his choices. I thought the list was pretty comprehensive, since five of the artists on the list had made some of my previous lists. I was surprised though that both LeLe aka Bad Bad and BJ Cash were left off.
Anyway, of the 15 artists Otis listed, I'd heard of all of them with the exception of Blacc Zacc. I don't know much about him besides the fact that he's from Columbia. According to Tasha over at SheBloggin (she keeps a good thermometer on the Carolina hip hop scene too) his DME team has been working the SC indie scene pretty heavy over the past 6 months and he has a healthy buzz down there.
If you're into that racked up shawty, trapped up shawty hip hop, "Presidents" should be right up your lane. It's off of Blacc Zacc's Hottest In Da City Part 2 mixtape. Y'all can check out the video after the jump.
