Two weeks ago Harvard University’s Hip Hop Archives debuted a new series, "Cutting Edge", one goal of which is to provide an opportunity for hip hop students and fans to learn from artists. The Hip Hop Archives chose 9th Wonder to kick off the new series.
As part of the "Cutting Edge", 9th Wonder visited Harvard University to present a lecture and do a screening of his and Kenneth Price’s "The Wonder Year" documentary. During a clip from his talk, 9th Wonder describes where he sees himself in today’s music landscape and where his sound fits.
The Hip Hop Archives is directed by Dr. Marcyliena Morgan, who also founded the institute. Check out the Hip Hop Archives’ website to watch a clip of 9th Wonder DJ’ing during his visit.
