The legends that are Blue Williams and Chris Lighty have managed some of the biggest names in the music business, including 50 Cent, Outkast and Cee-Lo Green. Recently the duo (both Bronx natives) decided to partner and form a new management team, Primary Violator.
Here the Wall Street Journals’ Lee Hawkins sits down with Williams and Lightly to discuss their decision to join forces to create the biggest management team in urban music. They talk about their daily work schedules, handling multiple brand extensions for their artists, taking athletes "to market" as brands, how their partnership shows unity in hip hop and the industry, managing personalities of megastars, plus much more.
This is a great interview. Be sure to take some time to watch it.
