DJ Maseo of the legendary De La Soul will in Chapel Hill today on UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus. His visit is part of Dr. Mark Katz Beat Making Lab, a new class he’s teaching for the Fall 2011 semester.

The most recent visitor to Dr. Katz class was Ski Beatz, who stopped by on Tuesday afternoon, prior to performing at the Local 506 for the "Hip Hop & Love Tour."

Today DJ Maseo will be discussing his history in the business and be open for questions regarding his music, his experience in the business, or whatever else you want to ask. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Katz and take place today, Thursday, October 13 from 4:00pm – 5:30pm in the Kenan Music Building, room 2131 on UNC’s campus.
