The DMV’s Fat Trel had one of the better performances at the 2011 A3C Hip Hop Festival.

Prior to the event I had no clue who Fat Trel was, or that DC even had trap rappers. During his set on the Perfect Attendance stage, I noticed he definitely had the entire crowd rocking and a bunch of fans in the audience who knew his lyrics word for word.

Since that time I’ve been checking for more of his music, and listening to his No Secrets mixtape that dropped last year. No Secrets features appearances from Wale, Black Cobain and Raheem Devaughn. Fat Trel is now on my list.
