RDU’s 2011 Hopscotch Music Festival kicks off today in downtown Raleigh. And tomorrow afternoon HOOPscotch will take place, a charity basketball game to benefit Raleigh’s Helping Hand Mission.
During the event 9th Wonder is scheduled to DJ a set plus The Beast and Kooley High will be performing. The players of the game—Team NC vs. Team USA—will be comprised of approximately 40% local and 60% national bands, including The Love Language, All Tiny Creatures, Birds of Avalon, Bombadil and more.
The event is free however donations are welcome.
For other stuff to do this weekend, DJ Ill Digitz of Kooley High will be spinning at The Kool Out tomorrow night. This event is free as well. More details about The Kool Out can be found after the jump.
