H1gher Learning, the only Southern Streetwear blog around, presented this past Friday the first ever #TheBigMix during 2011 Charleston Fashion Week.
#TheBigMix purpose is to bring Southern streetwear brands together all under one roof. There were brands from as far away as Florida, as well as Texas and Virginia. North Carolina was represented very well throughout the evening; FamCo. Clothing Company, Avant Garde, Kosmic Kickz of Greensboro plus yours truly were all in the building. Performances included Jus Nice and Righchus with DJ R Dot on the 1s and 2s.
In addition there was a panel discussion with the highly successful Southern streetwear brand We Are The Process and the owners of Continuum Skate Shop.
The entire evening was great and very well attended. Charleston Fashion Week even made the event the official after party for the week.
