Raleigh, NC’s Kooley High released the news early this morning that Fat Beats Distribution will put Eastern Standard Time, Kooley’s latest album, in stores around the globe.
This is super major for the crew because they remain independent and unsigned. In late 2009 everyone in the group (with the exception of Rapsody and producer Sinopsis) moved to Brooklyn to work on getting their buzz up.
Since that time, Kooley has been rocking shows throughout New York City (they threw a very successful-near sellout NC To NYC party last month in the heart of the city) while still being able to sell out venues in RDU anytime they return home.
Congratulations to Charlie Smarts, Tab-One, Sinopsis, DJ Ill Digitz, Foolery and Rapsody!
There are still folks in NC that believe it’s near impossible to be able to get a distribution deal as an independent artist. Some people believe that being signed to a major is the only way. Well it looks like the Kool Kids just proved ya’ll all the way wrong.
Congratulations to Charlie Smarts, Tab-One, Sinopsis, DJ Ill Digitz, Foolery and Rapsody!
