Bilal is another soul favorite of mine. He’s released two albums, 1st Born Second in the early 00’s and Airtight’s Revenge in 2010. The early 00’s was kind of a golden era for “neo” soul, a lot of dope artists released albums during that time.
Although his full project release catalog is slim Bilal has worked with and been featured on many of hip hop’s finest projects, including Little Brother’s Leftback, Scarface’s Emeritus, Jay-Z’s American Gangster, The Game’s LAX and The Clipse’s Hell Hath No Fury.
Soul Sista is off Bilal’s debut album 1st Born Second, released in 2001.
