Nanci O Is Hip Hop

My dude KJ curates the H1gher Learning website, which is dedicated to the proper documentation of Southern Streewear. He’s also a Lil Wayne fan, so instead of blogging about Weezy’s release from prison in the normal fashion KJ decided to ask his favorite bloggers their favorite Lil Wayne lines.

Yours truly was a part of the group, in addition to Courtney from The (dope.) Game, Randy from Writers Block, J. Dakar from Concrete Loop/I Am J Dakar plus a couple others.

After the jump are some of the responses. The backlash I got on my response was hilarious.

For the record: I don’t hate Lil Wayne’s rhymes, I just don’t have a favorite.
Courtney –
The (dope.) Game

Line: “I’ll erase you like I drew you bitch /and I keep that toaster, you can come and be my strudel biiiiitch!” [Ed. notes – I’m so Uptown, maafucka if you ain’t don’t go Uptown YEAH!]

Song: “Uptown” – Drake featuring Lil Wayne & Bun B

J. Dakar –I Am J. Dakar
Line: “I know what they don’t wanna tell you / just hope you’re heaven-sent and hell-proof / I, I’ll walk up in the world and cut the lights off / and confidence is a stain they can’t wipe off / my word is my pride / but wisdom is bleak, and that’s a word from the wise / served to survive, murdered and bribed / and when it get too heavy, I put my burdens aside”.

Song: “Drop the World”

You can peep the rest (including my input) over at KJ’s site.
