Nanci O Is Hip Hop

This week’s episode of Where Is Hip Hop? is a sad time and a good time. The sad time represents Boosie Boo getting indicted for first-degree murder. Both R.E. and I are huge Lil Boosie fans so we chop it up on news of Boosie going in and the resulting impact. The Louisiana rapper is now facing the death penalty, six kids are without their daddy, and it looks like Boosie won’t be rocking shows across the South anytime soon.

The good time? Where Is Hip Hop? is now officially 50 episodes in of bringing ya’ll the current state of Hip Hop in the world today from our perspective. When R.E. and I first chopped it up back in December 2008 (dang that seems so long ago) about doing a weekly segment, out the gate we dubbed ourselves “The Roeper and Ebert Of Hip Hop”. Back on episode 25, Randy and I both made projections on our respective brands. On episode 50, we revisit episode 25 and look to the future.

Super shout out to Randy for his support, and also to my old manager for helping me develop the idea for this segment. Regardless of how things turned out business-wise between us, I believe in giving credit when it’s due.
