I mean it probably makes sense on some level, but I’m still waiting for a label industry head to break down the economics of multi-platinum rappers releasing mixtapes. On this week’s edition of Where Is Hip Hop? Randy and I discuss the new releases from Bawse and The King (Rick Ross & T.I.). I rocks with The King’s catalog all day, but Lil Duval’s skit is one of the best tracks off F*ck A Mixtape. As far as Bawse, Ricky is a good rapper and the beats are stupid but I’m still questioning his authenticity as an official certified snowman.
We also talk about Kanye’s first leak ‘Power’ off his upcoming album, Good A$$ Job.
