Dasan Ahanu stopped by the studio on Wednesday for an interview. He’s a young legend on the Southeastern United States poetry scene and well known community activist for domestic violence and youth education. Dasan is also one of the main reasons Southern Fried 2009 competition has been brought to Durham. During the interview we talk about the 17th Annual Southern Fried 2009 Poetry Slam taking place this weekend, his current and future projects, and why it’s so important to nuture the youth and their creative offerings.
