Nappy Luv is an annual event that molds music, art, dance, fashion & poetry. This year’s efforst are aimed at bringing attention to the technological resource based war in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

This year Nappy Luv 7.5 will take place SUNDAY APRIL 13,2009 @ The Lincoln Theatre in downtown Raleigh.
Amanda Diva, Median, 9th Wonder, Jocelyn Ellis, Quill, Lizh + more will all be performing at Nappy Luv 7.5.

Background on Bloody Tech-Knowledge-Y: Colton is a metallic ore used in the making of consumer electonics such as cell phones and laptops. Over 80% of the world’s supply of colton can be found in DRC. Illegal mining of colton occurs largely in wildlife-protected areas throughout the Congo. In addition to seriously affecting wildlife there is a human cost as well:most mining is done by hand by women and children.
