At this point in his career Nas doesn’t need Nanci O or any other hip hop connoisseur to co-sign on any album he drops to try and convince people it’s worth buying. As far as I’m concerned he’s one of the top 5 lyricists of all time.
Nas has dropped so many lyrical swords that I’ll buy an album of his without even listening to it first.
To sit here and outline verse by verse or track by track how great of an emcee Nas is to prove my point would be a waste of my time typing and your time reading.
Ni**er is educational, party time, brilliant, thought provoking, offensive, uplifting and fresh all at the same time.
If you’ve been debating on whether to purchase Nasir Jones’ 9th studio album or take that $10 and spend it on some ridiculous sh*t then I really hurt for you my people.
If you don’t get nothing else out of this review just remember this:
Free your mind and your ass will follow.
