Sidebar: Many thanks to JSWISS, Dr. Perry Hall and all of the students in the AFAM 356: History of Hip Hop course at UNC-Chapel Hill. Last week, as part of their end of semester final project, the class presented an evening program around hip hop music and culture titled Bridgin’ Gaps & Spittin’ Knowledge: A Forum on the Evolution of Hip-Hop. There was a panel, presentations, performances and more. I had a great time visiting with y'all, meeting, speaking with everyone and learning about your end of semester projects for the class.
