California’s Channel One News recently produced and aired a news story on how 9th Wonder is changing hip hop. Duke University’s Dr. Mark Anthony Neal, who co-teaches a class with 9th titled "Sampling Soul" at Duke University, is featured in the story as well.

In the story 9th Wonder discusses exploring the black disapora of music in a cultural sense, following a lifelong dream of being a teacher and the impact of soul music on hip hop culture. Several of 9th’s and Dr. Neal’s "Sampling Soul" students were interviewed as well. The students talk about why they chose the class and how it has impacted their lives.
