Nanci O Is Hip Hop

There will be a special announcement coming early next week for some freshness I’ve got cooking in the pot for March 2009.

**Hint: I’ve been doing the Women In Hip Hop Thursday Night Feature annually in honor of Women’s History Month (March) for a couple of years now.

It is my most popular show and heads always hit me in late February/early March to see when the show is going to take place.

In 2009 it will be taken to a whole new level!!!

FYI. I hold a special place in my heart for a man who can roller skate like
LA Clippers’ Baron Davis.

P.S.:Have you gotten your tickets for Roll Bounce?

This weeks’ hot interviews:

Southeast Entertainment & Music Summit’s co-founder Tony “Chubbz” Marcus.

In 2001 Chubbz Marcus and James Heyward founded SMES to give artists in non-traditional markets access to the music industry.

SMES is the premiere independent music festival in the Southeast. The goal of SMES is to educate attendees about the music industry, exposing independent artists to the marketplace and to develop an outlet that will allow independent artists to be successful.
Since then
SMES has become one of THE music conferences to attend in the Southeast.

SMES will be taking place this weekend September 26-28, 2008 in Myrtle Beach, SC .
This years panelists include Charlamange Tha God, DJ Chuck T, & 9th Wonder amoung many others.

I’ve been on this kid for a minute. Not only is his freestyle game stupid dude’s lyrical content is on some next level sh*t.

Signing earlier this year to Interscope Records Charles Hamilton
has been on some kinda crazy grind to take over the world. To hear him tell it he’s just doing his music, his way.

The Hamiltonization Process is very much in full effect, and if you’re just hearing of him time to get ya weight up.
And Then They Played Dilla was released last week; it has heads everywhere going nuts. You resourceful types can find his other mixtapes in a gang of places on the net.

I’ve already had the chance to talk with Charles and the interview turned from that into a conversation. Dude has some interesting viewpoints on the current state of the Hip Hop.
