Last weekend the Free Times Music Crawl in Columbia went down with a bit of controversy, which has some folks in the hip hop community upset. Wet Willie’s in Columbia’s Vista pulled out two days before the event was supposed to place, after finding out it was assigned to host a hip hop music stage.

The CEO of Wet Willie’s, Bill Dickinson, says his businesses don’t play music with foul language or violent lyrics.

Fat Rat Da Czar and Shekeese the Beast were both interviewed for WLTX’s story; Shekeese also coordinated the hip hop stage. After Wet Willie’s backed out of the event at the last minute, Free Times found another spot for the hip hop stage at Moda Lounge.
