In the inaugural episode of Where Is Hip Hop? (Episode 1) Randy ran down the top 9 artists to watch in ’09. Artists who made the list include Drake, Playboy Tre, Big Sean, Mickey Halstead, Jay Electronica and Fashawn. Mind you, this was in January before any of these artists could be found on many of the blogs, websites and magazine covers they now grace. Before they had crazy major buzz.
This week we revisit the top 9 list and discuss what each rapper has been up to since making R.E.’s exclusive cut. Based on the endeavors of said artist some of them where dropped and in their place Randy added a few more that ya’ll need to pay attention to for the rest of 2009.
