The Empire [Mista Jay, Speak No Evil & Prince Imperial] stopped by the studio last week during the Carolina feature. Beyond that the single they’re pushing right now ‘Blacksmith’ sounds like a throw away Rza beat from 96. They have another song called ‘We Can Make It’ that’s much better. In my opinion that one should be the single to push instead of ‘Blacksmith’
According to the fellas DJ Flash is putting the finishing touches on the Undergound Experience Mixtape Vol.1. which will feature old and new material from The Empire and a host of other upcoming acts. These are some real humble cats. The only suggestion I have is they work on their image. Mid-evil stone figures of gargoyles is not imagery one would typically associate with hip hop.
