For the record I do not think all women who date rappers and athletes are gold diggers. The picture is funny though.
Everywhere you turn it appears hip hop baby mamas and wives are receiving more attention than the actual recording artists themselves.
From Tiny to Toya (T.I. & Lil Wayne), Tia to Tashera (Rick Ross & DMX) these ladies are making careers out of their relationships with hip hop artists. Kelis (Nas) hit the jackpot with her recent divorce settlement and has rappers everywhere chiming in on her new found “independence.” Even Superhead (Kool G. Rap) has managed to stay relevant in today’s media.
This week Randy and I discuss the current status of baby mamas, wives and wifeys in hip hop.
Since when do people care more about the women behind the men than the actual music the artist is releasing?
How does this impact the artists and their careers?
