The album that got me (us) the most was the Eminem album. It got one hot spin in my .mp3 player and is now officially ancient history. Outside of his flow I’ve never been an Eminem fan; lyrics and videos about murdering your baby mama (and getting your daughter to help), slitting your wrists and laying in bathtubs full of blood do not appeal to me.
Right wing media goes in on rappers who rhyme about making millions out of traphouses, moving work on the interstate and banging hoes but give Eminem a pass to talk about committing mass homicide after popping pills and don’t say a word. GTFOH.
