The North Carolina Undergound Music Awards took place this past weekend in Winston Salem, NC. It was a big weekend in NC as all the well known hip hop crews, businesses and affiliates from the Carolinas and surronding states came out to celebrate and attend the main event, pre and after parties. There were several NC/SC radio station reps, DVD magazines and other media outlets in the building.
However The Nanci O Radio Show was the ONLY media outlet reporting LIVE on the radio during the Awards event via Soul 104.5 FM Fayetteville, NC and web streaming!
Shout out to Kalim Hasan (Program Director @ 104.5 FM), Kutlass, O of O ENT INC, Major & Angie Potter (founders of The NCUMAs) and The National Black Theatre Festival for their assistance in helping me set up the remote and report LIVE on the radio airwaves during the Awards show!
