This Saturday June 3, 2011 the City of Raleigh will host the “Rise Up Raleigh" concert at the downtown amphitheater to raise money for local tornado relief efforts. The event will feature mostly indie rock bands, however Kooley High is the only hip hop group scheduled to perform.

On Saturday April 16, 2011, North Carolina was hit by several devastating tornados, which caused the destruction of 138 Raleigh homes and several hundred more with major damage. The City of Raleigh sustained more than $115 million in residential and commercial structural damage.

Admission to the concert is free. All proceeds from the event will go to the following local charities: Salvation Army of Wake County, Centro International de Raleigh, the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and the Helping Hand Mission.
