When I first caught wind back in January that Durham native Jocelyn Ellis and The Alpha Theory (TAT) had broken up it was kind of sad news. TAT was a soul/rock/hip hop fusion band based out of Charlotte, with JE on the lead vocals. TAT only released one project that included Jocelyn Ellis, the In The Beginning EP.
Since that time Jocelyn Ellis has been at work on her debut project. If you’re in Charlotte tonight, she will be at Lux debuting the short film/music video for her new single, “One Step Closer”; you can peep the trailer above. Below is “Dirty Bullet”, another one of her recently released singles.
