Nanci O Is Hip Hop

For the record, the April 2011 XXL edition is my favorite to date, mainly because I dig how they also named a Freshman City (Pittsburgh), Freshman Groups, and Freshman Soul Singers, etc. Even with that great content it’s still very noticiable that the magazine has gotten slimmer. But I digress.

On this week’s edition of Where Is Hip Hop?, Randy and I discuss the 11 picks selected for XXL Magazine’s 2011 Freshman picks: Who deserved to be there, who were questionable and who really could have been left off all together.

We also give four additional names that would have been great selections for this year’s Freshman class, including XV, Playboy Tre, Dom Kennedy and Tyler, The Creator (although those OFWGKTA kids be wildin’ the h*ll out).
