Nanci O Is Hip Hop

Despite recent jokes on Twitter, what the “streets” and internets say, there is no such thing as the Carolina Illuminati. So let’s dead that idea right off the bat. SMH some of ya’ll believe anything.

Tasha over at Shebloggin.com and Million Dollar Dreamer Randy Roper of Writerblockmedia.net have a pretty cool series going on titled the State of SC Hip Hop.

In the most recent segment below they chop it up with Trapp of The MIC DVD, for a blogger round table discussion of sorts, cause according to Randy:

When it comes to breaking new Carolina artists, myself, Tasha, Trapp, along with On Point Magazine and Nanci O, as the image above says, we pretty much run this b-tch.

Tasha is based in Charlotte, Randy resides in Atlanta (he’s originally from Charleston, SC and has his finger on the pulse of what’s happening in SC), Steelz from On Point Magazine is in Florence, SC and Trapp’s home base is Greenville, SC. Yours truly is based in RDU (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill).

Between the five of us I’d say we have a pretty good idea of which artists are really making moves between both states, because ya’ll know it’s way more than about just releasing good music and putting on a good stage show. If you didn’t know that, listen in below to learn more about what’s happening between the blogs and the streets.

And what I always say is this: The internet will take you to hoods you’ll never be able to visit in one lifetime.
