So my ongoing love-hate relationship with Craig Lindsey (aka Uncle Crizzle) Pop Culture critic over at The Raleigh News & Observer continues; one minute dude’s writing in the paper that I’m a hip hop annoyance, the next he’s inviting out to movie premieres and sharing gems like this. Love-hate you too Crizzle.
Childish Gambino is one of many aliases for Donald Glover, former writer for NBC’s ’30 Rock’ and an actor on the show ‘Community’ on NBC. He’s also done some comedy stuff and a whole bunch of other Hollywood-type sh*t.
The point of this post is his latest album for de free, Culdesac, which dropped last month and to date has received over 10,000 downloads. It’s actually pretty good, think if Drake had made it all the way to Hollywood but kept up his rapping chops on the side. The LA Times did a lengthy article on Donald Glover to help get you up to speed, and below is a ‘Do Ya Like’ one of the cuts off the project.
