March 8, 2012: Feature Night Thursday Returns (News)

The listeners love hearing fresh new music on Feature Night Thursdays and so do I!
 
After a three month hiatus for the holidays, Feature Night Thursdays starts back up on March 8, 2012. The show returns to the airwaves on WXYC 89.3 FM Chapel Hill, NC from 9PM-12MN. Live streaming will be available on the stations website.
 
For consideration to be the night’s Featured Artist interview, be sure to submit only your best material and make sure track submissions adhere to these guidelines. Track submissions for the night’s playlist are also being accepted.

The Columbia, SC emcee shows us his old school dance moves while he freestyles over A Tribe Called Quest’s classic cut, "Check The Rhyme".

St. Even will release 15 videos by June of this year, as part of his "The Vision" video mixtape campaign. His debut EP, On My Way Up, drops this Summer.

This song features Raleigh, NC’s J. Capri. The new project is set to drop in March, with this particular track’s production by JordanFCNY.

How cool is this: last year Baby Sinbad launched a campaign, in which the goal was to be invited to perform at the 2012 Paid Dues Festival. Earlier this week the West Coaster got the news that he made the bill.

To celebrate the major milestone in his career, Curtiss King drops off this video and track, aptly titled "Dues.Paid", where he has a message for all those folks who said he wouldn’t receive a highly coveted slot on the festival’s bill.

Curtiss King’s new project Atychiphobia: Fear of Failure drops later this Spring. Download "Dues.Paid" below and check out the video after the jump!

Jay-Z’s lifestyle website switches gears from featuring famous food spots and sits down with Freddie Gibbs to decode Thuggin‘, his collaborative EP with producer Madlib. 

During the feature, Gibbs’ drops several bars from the project as well as relay personal stories about the people he rhymes about on the EP.
