King Mezatron dropped a new video late last week. With all that’s happening behind the scenes around these parts I missed it at first, but it’s never too late to support a fellow Carolina kid. This track is off of his upcoming album, M.E.Z. (My Everlasting Zeal), which features production from Hollywood Cole and Raleigh, NC’s Commissioner Gordon.

This is probably going to be a dope project. Be on the lookout for more content from Sir Mezington Rex closer to May 30th. That’s the date M.E.Z. drops.

The newest issue of The Niche Carolina Magazine is now available! This months’ edition features "Men In Music", highlighting gentlemen who are in business in and around Greenville, SC. There is also an interview with Estelle, in addition to DTE’s Alley Boy, conducted by yours truly.

Print copies are available on newstands and multiple outlets throughout South Carolina and North Carolina. You can also read the issue online right here.

Also don’t forget, the 5th annual South Carolina Music Awards are coming in July. The location of this year’s festivities will be announced soon so stay tuned to the site for more details.

Life + Times (@LifeandTimes) Presents School Days: New York Academy of Art (Video)

Life + Times’ latest culture excursion takes us on a visit to the New York Academy of Art (NYAA). The academy was originally founded by Andy Warhol and offers studio skills in painting, drawing, and sculpture.

In "School Days" the president of NYAA David Kratz talks about the student’s high quality work, environment, how the academy’s excellence factor has launched several careers, plus more. We also have an opportunity to observe several students’ artwork.

LRG (@LiftedResearch) Presents What’s Cookin? Food Rap (Video)

This is pretty dang funny. DJ Nick Castle and LRG pulled several of the lines from your favorite rap songs that reference food and then paired them with a visual.

Y’all know how much Ghostface references food in his bars so there’s a couple of his rhymes. Biggie Smalls, Dead Prez and Common too. What got me is the video even included Cadillac Don & J. Money’s classic "Peanut Butter & Jelly". And the fact that the green pepper is rocking an aluminum foil "platinum" grill hahaha.
