WHERE IS HIP HOP? was a weekly hip hop debate series that discussed the current state of Hip Hop culture throughout the world as seen by Randy Roper, A&R and former music editor of Ozone Magazine, and Nanci O, hip hop blogger, radio host and corporate IT project leader.
The goal of WHERE IS HIP HOP? was to EDUCATE, INFORM and ENTERTAIN listeners of the segment. Audiences who listened to the series regularly eventually dubed Randy Roper and Nanci O. as the "Roeper and Ebert of Hip Hop".
WHERE IS HIP HOP? ran from 2008-2012 and aired on WXYC 89.3 FM Chapel Hill, NC, 104.5 FM Fayetteville, NC and WXDU 88.7 FM radio stations. The series was also accessible online through both Randy Roper and Nanci O.'s blogs.
Randy Roper and Nanci O recorded a total of 97 WHERE IS HIP HOP? segments, all of which covered a wealth of topics relevant to the hip hop community. Topics included digital album sales, artist business moves, album reviews, and much more.
