It’s been a while since I’ve heard a hip hop/pop album from a North Carolina-based artist. As a matter of fact, this may be the first one ever, so that’s really refreshing.
Rise of a Dreamer is Josh Adam’s debut project and was released through Raleigh, NC’s Lazrso Records. The album is primarily produced by Baltimore’s Jai Marlon (Keri Hilson, Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, etc). The rest of the production credit on Rise belongs to Atlanta-based DarkMatter Productions. The album has a Top 40 sound and it’s pretty cool to hear something different from the home state.
