**Update:
Now that Lil B is actually starting to make sense on some bars, I might need to go back and listen to some of his old stuff.
Then again, maybe not.
The wild and crazy kids of Critic’s Corner, which is UNC’s Reese News music review crew, took a whole Friday night to sit, listen, review and write about all 676 tracks of Lil B’s Free Music: The Complete Myspace Collection mixtape.
I started to read each track review but stopped at #2. What I did learn however is that Lil B used to be part of Berkley, California-based rap group The Pack, who had a hit song about wearing Vans shoes. Also that allegedly Lil B had 300+ MySpace pages and would post new tracks regularly (surely he had a team?) on all 300+ pages.
Lil B was also at one point signed to Soulja Boy’s Stacks On Deck. Well that kinda explains the Myspace piece.
If you care and have 2 plus hours go read the “Critics Corner Reviews 676 Lil B Tracks” article to see what’s really good with Free Music: The Complete Myspace Collection .
Reese News is UNC-Chapel Hill’s digital news publication ran by undergrad and grad students in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
