Wichita, Kansas native XV stopped through Chapel Hill, NC last month as part of The Clipse’s Fam Base Tour and chopped it up with me for a minute. During the interview “The Kid With The Green Backpack” discusses why Wichita’s Hip Hop scene has Bay-Area roots, his gangsta-a$$ beginnings in hip hop, what would be his comic book hero super powers (XV’s a big comic book fan), and tells a wild story about the craziest thing that’s happened while on tour with The Clipse.
He also perfectly demonstrates what to do if your track f*cks up in the middle of a performance.
