I caught up with SC’s Primo Starr right before the SMES 2009 summit. During the interview we talk about the recession (“what recession? let’s get money, Nanci O!“), the grind over the past year [he won Indie Grind Of The Year at the 2009 SCMAs], and how his rhymes about being a former dope boy differs from the other rappers out right now.

Well this year he performed the same track but this time around he closed out the entire weekend by being the artist to close out the awards show. And once again, the crowd went wild, as if Holyfield had just won the fight.
